The Florida Children's Services Council is a non-profit association which collectively represents the interests of local Children's Services Councils (CSC), which operate in counties across the state. There are fifteen Children's Services Councils in Florida. Eight of them are independent taxing authorities. The independent authorities represent Broward County, Duval County, Hillsborough County, Martin County, Miami-Dade County, Palm Beach County, Pinellas County and St. Lucie County. The dependents are Highlands County, Indian River County, Lake County, Manatee County, Okeechobee County, Orange County and Volusia County.
